Race Director, Michelle Burnett Juehring, says for the sixth time, the Bix served as the National 7-mile Championships for men and women. It's sponsored by USA Track and Field. Only US citizens were eligible to win part of the total purse, which is $67,500.

The men's winner is Biya Simbassa, and Kellyn Taylor won the women's race. Each claimed a check for $12,500. Three-time Bix Champion, Leonard Korir, placed 4th in the 2023 Bix 7.

Burnett-Juehring says some of the people who registered early had personalized Bix bibs to wear as they ran.

Friday's Arconic Junior Bix races were held at 6:00 P.M in the Quad-City Times parking lot. Then at 8:00 A.M. Saturday, elite runners and thousands of others started the climb up Brady Street hill in downtown Davenport.
